I was driving down the freeway (59 North to be exact). A lot of cars were pulled over beside the freeway to see the air show going on. They were inaugurating the new BBVA COMPASS DYNAMO STADIUM. I pulled over too, and gazed at the sky.
The planes were swirling in the air and pyrotechnics trailed behind them. Their pirouettes were very impressive. As the show continued along, one of the planes exploded precisely at the moment it flew over the stadium. I stared in awe as streams of fire landed on the bleachers below. For a second I thought it was part of the spectacle, but when I heard screams and cries, I then realized the show had ended. Sirens wailed as I decided to get back in my car and drive off.
